Covanta Energy stepped up its launch into the UK Waste Management procurement arena, at the annual SOPO conference this week.

The Society of Procurement Officers (SOPO) annual conference was well attended by procurement professionals from local authorities up and down the country and the Covanta exhibit generated a great deal of interest from those seeking waste treatment solutions.

Dan Carbery, UK Marketing Manager for Covanta Energy, represented the company at the conference and was on hand to answer questions throughout the event. Dan said "Our aim is to show local authorities how they can save money through innovative Energy from Waste systems. It was great to meet so many UK Procurement Officers at the conference and demonstrate the benefits of the Covanta system."

Covanta will also be exhibiting at the Global Waste Strategies Summit in London this December, where UK Managing Director Malcolm Chilton will also be speaking in the keynote opening address.
