Covanta Onondaga, LP operates the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency Facility for the County of Onondaga. Covanta Onondaga, LP is owned by its parent company Covanta Energy, Inc.

Covanta Onondaga is located in Jamesville, New York. The Facility has operated continuously, 24-hours a day 7-days a week, since it began commercial operation in 1995. The facility processes aproximately 360,000 tons per year while operating a 34 Megawatt (MW) electical generator with an output of 30 MW. This is equivalent to an estimated savings of 7,330,000 barrels of oil per year or the equivalent of the electical consumption of 380,000 homes. Covanta Onondaga also performs ferrous recovery and recycles approximately 10,000 tons of metal annually.
