Covanta Stanislaus, Inc. (CSI) operates the Covanta Stanislaus, Inc.  Resource Recovery Facility for the City of Modesto and Stanislaus County. Covanta Stanislaus, Inc. is owned by its parent company Covanta Energy, Inc.

The Covanta Stanislaus, Inc. facility is located in Crows Landing, CA. The Facility has operated continuously, 24-hours a day 7-days a week, since it began commercial operation in 1989. The facility processes aproximately 260,000 tons per year while operating 23.5-Megawatt (MW) electical generator with an output of 22 MW. This is equivalent to an estimated electical consumption of 20,000 homes. Covanta Stanislaus, Inc. also performs ferrous mteal recovery and recycles approximately 5000 tons of metal annually.
